The Peterborough Clinic is a multi-specialty medical clinic offering medical services of more than 40 physicians to residents of Peterborough and the surrounding regions.

Established in 1921, the Clinic is the oldest continuously operating medical clinic in Canada. Since its humble beginnings, the Clinic’s practitioners have earned the reputation of providing both high-quality care and being innovators in the health care field.

One-stop Medicine

The Clinic — often regarded as a “one-stop medicine” — provides a broad array of services and treatment options to enable patients to receive a full spectrum of care in one convenient location.

At our facility, located on Hospital Drive and directly across from Peterborough Regional Health Centre, patients may be referred for treatment options in Gastroenterology, General Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, Dermatology and Paediatrics. Onsite medical services including a pharmacy, medical laboratory, orthotics, knee bracing, shockwave therapy, ultrasound, and x-ray are offered for greater convenience and faster care. EKG and cardiac testing are available at Kawartha Cardiology (327 Charlotte Street) through our Clinic partner, Dr. John Reesor.

Our family physicians are remunerated as a Family Health Organization and also enjoy the benefits of working with the Peterborough Family Health Team. This team consists of nurse practitioners, registered nurses, social workers, dieticians, pharmacists and mental health clinicians whose services are available to all rostered patients of our family physicians.

The Clinic treats patients of all ages, from infants to seniors, for a continuum of care that evolves with the needs of each patient.
