Dr. K. W. Hardy-Brown MD, FRCP(C)

Dr. Karolyn Hardy-Brown joined the Clinic in 2010. Karolyn completed her medical degree at Queen’s University in 2005 and received her specialist degree in 2009.

Karolyn is affiliated with the Canadian Pediatric Society, and the RCPSC.

Dr. Hardy-Brown and her husband, Dr. Jamie Brown relocated to Peterborough in 2010. They have settled into the community and are enjoying the short commutes back and forth to the hospital and their offices. When Karolyn and Jamie can get away they enjoy camping, hiking, running and traveling.

Dr. P. L. Hughes MD, FRCP(C)

Dr. Peter Hughes joined the Clinic in 1994. Peter obtained a degree in Marine Biology from Dalhousie University in 1984 before switching to medicine. He obtained his medical degree in 1989 from the University of Toronto and completed his Paediatric specialty at the Hospital for Sick Children in 1994.

Peter is a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada as well as a member of the Canadian Paediatric Society and the American Academy of Paediatrics.

Peter’s community service includes Ducks Unlimited, an organization working to conserve Canada’s wetland habitat. Peter was recently appointed Assistant Professor at Queens University.

Peter and his wife (Julie) have two children. They spend many hours swimming, fishing, playing hockey, and going on various canoe trips.

Dr. F. P. Moradhassel MD, FRCP(C)

Dr. Fariedeh Moradhassel joined the Clinic in 1988 after practicing in Sudbury for seven years. Fariedeh is originally from Iran, having obtained her medical degree from the University of Tehran in 1970. She completed her rotating internship in Philadelphia and her Paediatric residency in St. John’s, Newfoundland and the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto.

Fariedeh is the proud mother of three grown children.

Dr. R. A. White BSc, MDCM, FRCPC, CSPQ

Dr. Alan White joined the Clinic in 1981. He completed his medical degree at McGill University Faculty of Medicine in 1973 and completed specialty training in paediatrics at the Montreal Children’s Hospital in 1977. Until moving to Peterborough Dr. White was Director of Medical Emergency and the Neonatal Follow-up Clinic at the Montreal Children’s Hospital.

Dr. White has specialty certification in paediatrics from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and has professional memberships with the Royal College, the Canadian Paediatric Society and the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Dr. White has active staff privileges at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre and courtesy staff privileges at the Northumberland Hills Hospital and the Ross Memorial Hospital.
