Ophthalmic Technician - (JDH Six Month Contract)

The Peterborough Clinic in conjunction with the office of Dr. J. Hurst is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician. Ideally the candidate would be proficient in visual fields, OCT but full training will be provided. You will be part of a team where each member's responsibilities are vital to support the physician and provide optimum patient care, however, your individual responsibilities will be carried out with minimal supervision. A detail-oriented, well organized, adaptable person with the ability to multi-task in necessary.

Qualifications

COA certification and experience is an asset. Previous use of an electronic medical record system is a plus. The ability to maintain accuracy of work despite multi-faceted task directions and interruptions. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with patients, physicians, and coworkers in a tactful, informed and customer service oriented manner. Strong communication skills. Demonstrates a professional attitude and appearance.

Full time (30-40 hours/week) Six Month Contract
