Night Cleaner

Purpose:

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing custodial duties to ensure the facilities are continuously maintained in a healthy, safe and sanitary manner. Your focus will be on vacumming, mopping and waxing all Doctor's offices, Nursing stations, waiting rooms, lobby, washrooms and tenant areas.

Responsibilities:

Cleaning and caring for the facilities will include but is not limited to the following:

vacuum rugs, clean vinyl and tile floor by dry and wet mop procedures
Preform weekly and monthly routines cleaning edges, baseboards and behind equipment and furniture
Straighten and tidy chairs in waiting room as needed
Garbage and biohazard removal (as needed to cover sick and vacation leave)
Collect laundry bags
Act as security for the building overnight night
Report any damage, potential hazards or maintenance issues to the Facility Manager
Carpet shampoo and floor waxing preformed as required.
Snow removal and salting walkways as needed.

Knowledge, Skills and Personal Attributes:

Knowledge of standard cleaning procedures, chemicals and equipment.
Ability to read labes and understand instructions when using chemicals. WHMIS an asset.
Problem solving, time management and decision making skills.
Honest, trustworthy. Criminal record check will be required.
Flexible and open minded.
Walking, pushing, bending and lifting are physical requirements to complete your job duties.
